Papeete, situated on the island of Tahiti in the Pacific Ocean, serves as the capital city of French Polynesia. Renowned for its pristine lagoon, culinary delights, vibrant market, cultural museums, and diverse shopping options, Papeete offers a rich tapestry of experiences. Our day commenced with an exciting departure from the marina for a memorable snorkling adventure, where we had the opportunity to swim in the enchanting underwater world akin to Earth's own aquarium.

After our snorkeling adventure, we returned to the ship to freshen up and then joined our friends Laurie & Jack, Lee, and Ginny for a delightful lunch at a charming waterfront restaurant under a thatched roof. I particularly relished the shade, the breeze, and most importantly, the red tuna sashimi with a tantalizing sauce.

Following that, we indulged in a brief stroll through port shops where we added more bottles to our collection and picked out a new tropical shirt for Jeff. It truly was a perfect day in Paradise.
