Olive Groves & Ionian Views

Corfu, Greece

View Around the World! - Part 3 on Where2FromHere's travel map.

Welcome to Corfu, Greece!

Perched above the Adriatic Sea, Corfu is the second largest Ionian Island.

Today we walked through the narrow streets of Old Town and marveled at the Italianate architecture.

We also visited the opposite side of the island with its rich combination of old fishing villages and immaculate beaches.

We experienced the wonderful flavors and history of Corfu while we tasted wine at the Ambelonas vineyard where they've been producing wine and olive oil for more than 400 years. Needless to say, we were in heaven when they tantelized our taste buds with a selection of feta cheese, tomato-cucumber salad, olives and salami plus a glass of wine produced on the site.

Corfu is the perfect place to get lost in time.
