The Côte d'Azur, or French Riviera, is a stunning coastal region in southeastern France renowned for its beauty and glamour.
We had a fantastic reunion here in France with our friends from the first segment of the Ultimate World Cruise, the Draxler family, who spend their summer months in Nice.
Our "driver", Juergen Draxler, took us on a scenic journey from Villafranche to Monaco and places in between, showcasing the area's breathtaking sights. In Monaco, we savored a delightful lunch at the Uluvasso de Monaco Restaurant, overlooking the main port.
The harbor was an impressive sight, filled to capacity with luxurious yachts, epitomizing the Riviera's opulent charm. Just take a look
Some of the major attractions in Monaco are of course the Monte Carlo Casino and the Palace of the Prince of Monaco.
This tiny principality is known for these glamorous casinos, luxurious yachts, and the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, which offered a glimpse into the world of the ultra-wealthy. Adding to its allure was an impressive array of high-end automobiles that we saw on its streets, including prestigious cars, such as: Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz,Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, and Maserati.
Monaco's waters are graced by an impressive variety of vessels, ranging from colossal luxury yachts to nimble powerboats, all congregating near the prestigious Monaco Yacht Club. Our visit coincided with an exciting solar-powered boat event, adding an unexpected highlight to our tour. We had the opportunity to observe innovative solar-powered electric boats, designed and constructed by mechanical engineering students, as they navigated the course, showcasing a blend of cutting-edge technology in this luxurious setting.
So as we saw, the Côte d'Azur, one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations, blends natural beauty with cultural richness and a touch of glamour everywhere.
