Just like the pilgrims in antiquity

You're absolutely right if you guessed that we returned to the hotel as opposed to finishing the hike in 90 degree weather after our very satisfying lunch. No Regrets! The hotel is one of the most beautiful we've ever stayed at - with multiple thermal pools and a view that just doesn't quit.

We found a shady spot alongside the thermal pools and enjoyed two very refreshing gin and tonics. The service at this hotel were beyond compare and the flowers blooming everywhere were beautiful!

We were on our own for dinner - and when we learned the Michelin restaurant we chose online was not within walking distance, Michele at the front desk made reservations for us at Osteria del Leone which did not disappoint. Our waitress was a lot of fun - She made Jeff look good with the wine choice. It was Orcia Sangiovese from the area. The liver pate was delicious. We both ordered the pasta dish but devoured it before the camera had a chance to take the photo!

A great after-dinner drink in the bar at the hotel was all it took to finish off another great day in Tuscany!
